- GREATSTAR Europe AG new owner
- Focus on reliable delivery to customers
Ahrensburg, July 2021- “Cast off” is the motto at BeA GmbH. One of Europe’s leading manufacturers of fastening technology for wood and wood-like materials is looking confidently to the future with a new owner and a new management team.
The new owner of BeA GmbH is GREATSTAR Europe AG, Erlen (Switzerland). BeA GmbH and its subsidiaries will be managed as an independent group of companies from the headquarters in Ahrensburg. Dr. Jörg Dalhöfer and Stephan Kreft have been appointed Managing Directors and manage the BeA Group.
Dr. Jörg Dalhöfer (56) is CEO and Technical Managing Director. He is responsible for the operational business and thus the areas of marketing, product management, design, purchasing, production, logistics and sales. Dr. Jörg Dalhöfer previously worked as COO in the safety and medical technology sector. Dr. Jörg Dalhöfer also holds a professorship at the Technical University of Lübeck.
“All employees at the head office, the branches and the subsidiaries have remained on board. We have a strong team and our customers have the familiar contacts,” emphasizes Dr. Jörg Dalhöfer. The BeA Group will continue the well-known brands and product range of BeA, BeA Autotec and KMR in all markets in which they are currently represented. “Our goal is to further develop BeA GmbH in a strong network of applications, products and markets,” affirms Dr. Jörg Dalhöfer.
“As a GREATSTAR Europe AG company, BeA GmbH has the financial strength and stability to further strengthen the market position of the entire group,” adds Stephan Kreft. He is convinced that the move away from the stock exchange listing and the capital market will enable sustainable corporate development for owners, business partners and employees. “The company is now steering into calmer waters, is picking up speed and has a clear course,” emphasizes Stephan Kreft.
At present, the focus is on reliably supplying customers with high-quality fasteners – despite the volatility and shortage of raw materials and transport capacities. At the headquarters in Ahrensburg, devices and fasteners are stored on 8,845 pallet spaces over an area of 6,000 m2 and delivered to Central Europe within 48 hours. Every day, around 140 tons of goods are dispatched from Ahrensburg in 500 packages with logistics partners.
Every day, several million staples, nails and screws of the BeA and KMR brands are processed worldwide. No other manufacturer in the world supplies self-loading nailers and staplers for automated industrial production. In Europe, Australia, South America and the USA, BeA is the market leader in air-operated fasteners for furniture production. The company employs 450 people worldwide and is represented by 14 subsidiaries and three branches in the most important markets. The company’s brands are also represented by sales partners in more than 40 countries.
